Foundry4 Thermdos GmbH specializes in the development and manufacture of furnaces for holding and dispensing of non-ferrous metals (especially aluminum). An area which is influenced mainly by the automotive industry and economic fluctuations. Especially this problem is Foundry4 Thermdos GmbH needs and offers their customers benefits through competence, creativity and innovation.

Foundry 4 dosing furnaces are produced in Germany.

More and better metal quality in finishing, shorter process times, more safety and greater reliability require continuously developing technologies and innovative approaches. Together with the issues of energy conservation and environmental sustainability is at the core of standards that we have set for ourselves. As a service-oriented company, our aim is high quality and consequently highest customer satisfaction.

We use our technical expertise for the development of innovative and economic solutions to meet the demands of our customers and in addition identify forward-looking solutions and implement.

Company history

  • Founded in 2009 as Foundry4 Thermdos GmbH and todays head office in Hochheim am Main, Germany
  • In 2010 dosing control system Thermdos was developed on base of industrial PLC standard Siemens S7-300 and the ability of Profibus DP for fast and complex data structures.
  • In October of 2010 the first manufacturing plant in Sangerhausen, Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany was started with an production area of 1000 m² and a capacity of 12 furnaces per month.
    At the same time,  the introduction of a new model family of Thermdos DC for die- and gravity casting was carried out.
  • In June 2011 Foundry4 became a new member of ZPF group and went on as ZPF Foundry4 GmbH.
  • As of beginning of 2014 ZPF Foundry4 separated from ZPF group and went on independent as Foundry4 Thermdos GmbH, as after the foundation.
  • In August 2015 the production moved to a new production plant in Bottendorf Thüringen, Germany which is in possession of the shareholders of Foundry4. More than 2000 m² production area  is available now.
  • September 2015: Foundry4 Thermdos GmbH was ISO 9001 certified.
